Abstract

The article focuses on answering the question „Does the artist see more?” from the perspective of contemporary visual culture studies, encompassing biologically informed and directed approaches. The phenomenology of lived experience, utilized in cognitive sciences, combined with neuroaesthetic and neurobiological reflection, leads to conclusions that are then situated within the empirically friendly envinronment of St. Thomas Aquinas’ classical metaphisics, an envinronment in which the general conditions for the metaphisical potential of this experience are revealed.
