Information For Authors

Papers are published in the journal both in Polish and English. We politely request the authors to follow the guidelines provided beneath when preparing their papers.

TEXT FORMAT

Articles whose volume does not exceed 1 publisher’s sheet (40,000 characters with footnotes and spaces), which is about 18-20 typescript pages (font: Times New Roman, font size: 12 pt, spacing: 1.5 line);

The length of the review should not be longer than 25,000 characters including footnotes and spaces (around 9-10 pages);

Footnotes numbered with consecutive Arabic numerals, must be placed at the bottom of the page in a format adopted by the editorial board (see the examples below or current issues of the journal);

Text should be justified, paragraph indent (first line indent): 1,25cm

Footnotes’ format: Times New Roman, 10pt, single line spacing, justification;

The title of the file should include the author’s last name and initial words from the title (written with underscores), e.g., “Smith_Affective_Manifestos”;

File format: rtf or doc (we do not accept files in other formats).

 

ANNOTATIONS

  1. It is necessary to attach a detailed bibliography at the end of the article containing details of all books and articles mentioned in the article. For example:

Hal Foster, Powrót realnego, Awangarda u schyłku XX wieku, transl. Mateusz Borowski, Małgorzata Sugiera, Universitas, Kraków 2010

  1. In the main text the names of the authors (or a shortened version of the title when it comes to edited works), release dates, and page numbers are provided in round brackets.

(Foster H., 2010)

(Foster H., 2010, p. 131)

(Biblioteki akademickie, 2005 p. 3)

 

In-text references:

  1. Foster (1999 p. 131) claims, that: „........”

 

For publications by two authors, both surnames are given and  separated by a comma or a conjunction “and” or ampersand “&”, for example.:

(Pioterek P., Zieleniecka B., 2000, p. 31)

For publications by three and more authors, record the first author followed by et al., e.g.

(Żmigrodzki Z et al., 2007, pp. 23-25)

 

When referring to a few works written by the same author that were published in the same year, in order to distinguish them a lower-case letter “a”, “b” etc. is added after the publication year, e.g.

(Maj M., 1999a, p. 2)

(Maj M., 1999b, p. 14)

(Maj M., 1999c, p. 1)

In the above case it is important to remember to allocate letters after the year on the reference list.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please put the following data on the first page:

Name and surname of the author/authors;

Contact details (e-mail, postal address, phone number);

Short biographical note (up to 400 characters with spaces)  which includes: name, surname, academic degree, affiliation, research interests, recent publications, contact information: e-mail address.

 At the bottom of the page we added exemplary biographical notes.
